2011 XJL hit from behind. Crank no start.

I bought a 2011 XJL that was involved in a rear-end collision. Enough to total the car but it should run and drive. Battery was dead and I put a new one in it. It cranks just fine. No noises and sounds strong. However, it just won't start. Is there some kind of fuel pump kill switch when they're involved in an accident? Maybe a module that I need to reset?

Thanks!

If i have understand correctly x351 don´t have mechanical inertia fuel cut off switch (IFS) but it is inbuild on engine managment and have to be reseted by diagnostic tool. (JLR SDD)

Correct. Crash mode!

So it does cut off the fuel pump like the old inertia sensors but also sets all kinds of stuff thru out the car.
I "think" you will need to get the CJB out of "crash mode". They claim a valid lock and unlock cycle will reset it?

Maybe the ECM too since it also receives the "crash signal". No indication in the manual how you do this either? I have not done this and will assume that SDD is required.

After doing some more digging, it looks like I need to reset the SRS module. I have a 2013 that had a minor accident that did not set off any airbags. I'm going to swap over that SRS module to see if that one will work. Unfortunately, the battery is dead on the 2013 so I have to do some digging on how to get the trunk open so I can replace the battery lol. What a process. Guess I should get used to it since I'm parting both of them out.

We don't know much about how to reset stuff after a crash? Can you post back how you did it? It's not real clear from what I have read in the manuals what needs to be done?
Most of the time you will need to program modules to the car? Not sure swapping the module will work?

We have a sticky thread at the top of the forum for getting into the trunk? Maybe read that? Several ways to do it.

I'll check the stickies for getting in the trunk. There have been a few old posts on the topic but basically the SRS module is the one that sends the info to the ECM about the crash and kills the fuel pump. Once that's reset the ECM should work fine. You can send the module off to have it reset but I'm going to try my other module first.
