Hi, could use suggestions. I had significant watore on the passenger side of the car, fron and rear floor. took the seat out and removed the carpet and found a lot of clear water. Did a water test on the windshield, sunroof and doh the right side, but got nothing inside, any thoughts?

..................so it's not leaking in past the seals. It's clean water so it's not coming in through a seam or split in the floorpan. Originally Posted by stevedorrance

Check aircon drain tubes aren't blocked or detached.

well I assume its a Jaguar, but past that you provided NO info

Thanks for your replies, but my post was not clear so, here are more details...XJ 8 2004. I've pulled the rug and seat out of the passenger side. The floor seams are perfect, definately not leaking there. I did a lengthy water test on the windshield, sunroof and side doors and it passed; no water inside. I'm really stumped because there was at least 2 gallons of water under the front and rear carpets on the passsenger side. I have a hunch, but not sure what it means. The carpet was wet really high under the dash, in the footwell, in the corner near the center console but definately on the firewall, not on the console side of the corner. Elsewhere that high there was no water near the top of the carpet in to footwell. I can't find the AC drain hoses and would really appreciate any help anyone could offer. thanks much.

The passenger side of the car is normally where the pollen filter for the air intake resides in a plenum chamber. For my UK right-hand drive car that is on the left facing forward, so I surmise that for left-hand drive cars it is on the right, (passenger) side.
If you look into the plenum chamber for this filter you will see a rainwater drain hole. If this is blocked by leaves and crud, water will accumulate and pass into the car interior. This at least is my suggestion. There is a simple-to-remove cover, and checking takes about 2 minutes.

Only other thing I can think of is the air con evaporator drain which normally leaves a small puddle under the car after a run.
