Default Puddle in rear driver side footwell - Convertible

I've seen some threads on here about water in the front footwell however my XKR Convertible currently has a nice puddle in the rear of side footwell. The water is clearly visible and I have mopped it up a couple of times but keeps coming back. I'm going to start a full investigation this weekend. There is no evidence of the water coming down from above as the carpet is dry on the vertical faces.

Would anyone have any ideas before I start unscrewing everything and ripping the carpet up?

Many thanks

Lift out the rear seat bottoms (may have to pull the out the vertical cover between the seat backs, and the center hump cover) and check for water under the seat.
I seem to recall a thread where someone was getting water from a leak behind the seats, and it would pool under the seat before flowing down to the floor.
The vertical carpet surface may be dry if the water is flowing behind the carpet.

Also check if your rear window is beginning to separate from the soft top.

My drivers side carpet was soaked when I removed my seats. Im not sure why but there was at least a 1/8" deep puddle of water towards the back where the drivers side passengers feet would go. I removed the carpet (was super easy) and let it all dry out. I tried to find the culprit on why it was so wet and where the water was coming from but never did. So what I did was seal every single hole (there is a few) in the aluminum body under the seat hoping it fixes the issue. Just thought I would share this. Oh and from the looks of rust seat belt metal the water has been there for a long time.

Thanks for the responses. It’s chucking down here all day so will take a look tomorrow! Rear seat sounds like a likely reason but will update!
