Default Strange warning tone/buzz when entering car

Whenever I open the car and get into it, I am hearing a "bzzz" buzz/tone that repeats 4 or 5 times rapidly. "bzzz bzzz bzzz bzzz bzzz".

I have read the manual section on warning tones, and it doesn't describe anything like that. I have checked that there isn't anything going on with the headlights (like maybe it would give that tone if the headlights were left on automaticaly), parking brake, etc. but can't figure out why it is buzzing at me every time I get in the car.

Is this normal, or one more thing to add to the list to ask the dealer about?

LOL I wish--at least I'd have an explanation and could probably eliminate it!

As it is, every time I open the car door and get in...very regular mechanical 4 or 5 times "bzzz bzzz bzzz bzzz bzzz".

Watch your rear mirrors the next time you enter the car. They may be positioning themselves after being colasped while parked with the doors locked.

I have the same buzzing in the center console area, but only when it's cold it seems (ie, first start of the morning). Gonna check with the dealer next week, but not too distracting...assuming you have already ruled out the noise the mirrors make.

Well, I had my car serviced, and now the buzz has gone away. The service advisor said he didn't know what it was, but now that the service is complete, it isn't buzzing anymore. I think it was just a reminder that the car needed servicing.
