The black bracket can be removed but is a real PITA to do. also that vacuum hose can be removed to give an inch of assess to the drain plug see photos of mine an xkr 5l supercharged 2011 car it is same engine as yours .

The xkr 5l and xfr and xj 351 ftype and range rover sport and range rover all 5l cars share same engine and fill/drin plug is in same location . no such word as impossible we brits ruled the world

That was a very good repair but I think when I pull the SC to change the rear water manifold I will change the oil then.
I already have the GM SC oil.

On reflection this change of the supercharged oil is a must "if you love your car . the oil i took out was not only foul smelling and darkish brown but some of it had evaporated over the years . i put in more than i took out. and with the drin/fill plug you cant put in to much as it just runs out . Me will do this every 3 year from now on will save on and problms that should arise due to old sluggish oil in supercharger

Default 2016 jaguar f-type r supercharger removal

Finally got the supercharger out.
thank you for the help.
I did leave the cowl on. Had a helping hand to get it out

my jag has been down since june 2009 how did you get to the rear bolts?

I purchased a new one when it broke down with a new paint job and wheels so its taking up space in my shop.
