Do we have any experts on the satnav touch screen or electronics geniuses in the group please?

I really want to upgrade the horrible touch screen in my 2010 Premium Luxury.

I've tried swapping the unit with 2 different later models but I lose the audio/video option when I do it (option is there but greyed out).

What i would like to know is could I swap the screen on my old unit with newer screen, but keep the original motherboard? Does anyone know if that would work? The original screen is a "resistive" type while the newer one is a "capacitive" type.

This is a big subject and a number of ways to go. I installed an after market Android big screen.
Best to search as a TON of stuff has been posted on this subject. All those question have been answered multiple times.
