My touch screen has an imprint image. Cannot get it out It looks like a rectangle. Probably needs replaced. Thoughts? It is a 2010 XKR

 

I don't think there is any way to get rid of screen burn. If yer handy it may be possible to get a used unit and swap the display. That way you don't have the display programmed to the car.

 

So, what you are saying is that I can get a used unit and not have to get it programed? It will work as new?

 

The unit has to be from an XK, not an XF though. There have been a few threads here and there where people say they are interchangeable but they aren't. The XF uses a different climate module so the climate controls won't work. I think, but am not sure, that you also need one from 2010 onward. I have an 07 and a newer 2010 screen isn't interchangeable. (Perhaps for the same reason as an XK to XF swap. though I'm not certain of the reason) The 07-09 screens may be backward compatible, but suggest you look for one 2010 onward.

 

Thank you for the info. Also, I have notice that the small info screen between the speedometer and tach is fuzzy or distortated.

Any idea on how this can be? Looks like it has condensation.

 

I believe the display is a 7" inch Toshiba LTA070D010F TFT LCD panel.

AS I check out my touch screen, it seems that it has stopped working. Touch no longer works and now the fan control /or fan has stopped working. It looks like it may be all one unit.

Has anyone had this issue?
