Default Thoughts on 20 Inch wheels

I'm looking at a 2016 XJ purchase from a BMW dealer, right engine, right colors, right mileage. The car has 20 inch alloy wheels, which I've never had before. Any thoughts on these wheels in terms of handling, durability, and longevity?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

20s are standard on my XJ. right size, fitment. Would never go bigger, and smaller would look odd too. Just stick to the stock tire size and you should have little problems, although watch for potholes.

Yes 20" is pretty standard. There was a 19" option too. Have been a few complaints about bent rims due to bad roads/pot holes or curb hits.
Note the XJR's came with forged rims and those are the only factory forged rims I know of.
I have not bent one yet and have had several severe road impacts.

My prior Jaguar an 2005 S-Type R had 18" rims and when I upgraded to chrome rims it was thru a wheel exchange program. 3 out of the 4 rims were bent when I sent them in. Car drove fine so I did not notice any problems from the bent rims.

I really like the style on that car. However roads in your state are not known for being kind to low profile wheels. Yes 20's are more attractive but 19's are not awful - and a lot less risk.

I upgraded to 20s and don't have any complaints. I did get good tires so that may have something to do with it. I usually put bigger 20+ wheels on my car, but I'm happy I went with 20s. They look great on my '16 XJL.

Any pictures? what rims are on it. Lol If you want to trade for 19" gloss black toba with winter tires I would gladly do it.
