Found this in the engine valley when taking the supercharger off. I’ve not idea where it came from. See pic

There are an thread where this was questioned not long ago. If i remember right this part is sitting inside of waste gate actuator?

It's used on the cars with an electric bypass valve. Jaguar calls it a "coupling". Part #C2D43581 about $30
SC Bypass Coupling

Circled in red below.



Don't lose it as you do need it!

Wow thank you so much. I never saw it fall out I just saw it sitting down there. What does it do and I wonder if it was there before and hasn’t been hooked up properly.

Without it the actuator will operate but NOT turn the shaft on the bypass valve. So the bypass would not open "I think".
I am sure things would not be happy either!

Waste gates are on Turbo's. Bypass valve are on mechanical SC's.

Correct. Lost right words. (i did serious mind surfing for even waste gate term Total black out moment, only local language terms were in my mind: Bypass valve = Ohitus venttiili )
