Vortex Wheels on a XJ X351
Hello dear Jaguar lovers,
Maybe you can help me and I have one:
Jaguar XJL X351 3.0d
Year of construction 2014.
I could get hold of the Vortex rims.
Front: 9x20 ET49
Rear: 10.5 ET 51.
I think I won't have any problems with the front rims, only with the rear ones, because I suspect that they are too deep in the wheel arch. Stripes in the box will certainly not work.
Only I'm not sure how I can solve this with the wheel spacers, since the rims have no pockets on the inside.
I am grateful for any experience or tip!
And sorry for my poor English - come from Austria.
Thank you!

Here are the specs for tire an wheel specs that include the offsets. There have been reports that moving away from the recommended offsets has resulted in premature wheel bearing failure. Good luckXJ (x351) 20” Tire and Wheel Tech Specs:

Vielen Dank für Ihr Feedback, aber was meinen Sie mit vorzeitigem Ausfall der Radlager? Haben Sie die Felgen an einem XJ montiert oder kannten Sie jemanden von Ihnen? Ich dachte, dass ich praktische Informationen im Forum finden würde oder ob jemand diese Felgen auf einem XJ gefahren hätte. Vielen Dank!

Thank you for your feedback, but what do you mean by premature failure of the wheel bearings? Did you mount the rims on an XJ or did you know any of them? I thought that I would find practical information in the forum or whether someone would have driven these rims on an XJ. Thanks a lot!

I believe what XJsss is saying is that if you use a different offset, either more positive or negative, that could make the wheel bearings fail prematurely because the unsprung weight of the wheel and tire is not sitting on the bearing in the same way as the OEM wheels, since the offset is slightly different.
That being said, the offset seems pretty close, and dozens of people run aftermarket wheels with different offsets, so i wouldnt be too concerned about it, but that is just my opinion.
