Default Winter tires

Hi All,
Winter is not far off in central Alberta so to be prepared I am looking for dedicated winter tires to install mid October.
Currently my 13 XJL 3.0 AWD has different sizes front 245/40/20 and rear 275/35/20. I also have four spare rims from my range rover sized 275/40/20 which would make change over quick and easy.

Will the 275/40/20 fit all around without binding. I also have four nice Enkri rims 265/45/21 but are most likely too large.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards,

Hi YYC guy,

275/40/20 are propably too wide on front. Propably will limit the turning angle.
You also might want to have more sidewall and less wideness for winter tyres, since you will get more grip.
Range rover rims migh have bigger nut size? (not absolute sure for that)
I bought set of 18" rims (9"wide, 45 ET), what are smallest what can be fitted on X351 with smaller brakes (i have 3.0D). Note: Still not all 18" rims will fit, calibers can touch the rim. For these i bought 245/45/18 spiked Michelin X-ICE North 4 tyres for all corners. (we are allowed to use spiked tyres here)
That setup have been working well in snow and ice. The rears sit bit inner in wheel arc than std summer tyres, but only you will note the difference.
