XF and XJ are 2 different cars. It is like comparing the Malibu to the Impala. One is larger and more powerful (and yes, the flagship of the Jaguar line). XJ for the win. The other you'll struggle for an identity.
You've talked me over. I dumped the idea of having an XFR as soon as I read this.
It had a massive service in last November and replaced Brake discs, wishbones, control arms, water pump, coolant hoses etc. I don't understand all, so I upload the bill here for you all.
I have just paid a small deposit to a MY13 XJL Portfolio!
5.0 S/C
8 Speed
Meridian Sound System
Massage function at back seats
Just this private seller is unsure if it is 470bhp or 510bhp since he didn't care. Is there a way to confirm?
And there is some dried soy sauce like thingy in the spare wheel compartment, is it normal or not?
Wow that is spectacular! Looks very well cared for. Normally I would say that is the lower engine but based on it being quite well optioned it is possible it is the higher one. You can plug the VIN into Topix and it will spit out a list of options and what came with the car. For mine, I contacted the original dealer who emailed me a copy of the original invoice as ordered from Jaguar.

I have just plugged in the VIN into Topix but it does not tell me the configuration of the engine, just says 5.0L s/c V8 petrol...
That's an amazing amount of work done! I hope the car is not a lemon?
I can't believe it needed all that!
But you should be glad it was done and you have the bills to prove it!

That’s what I am worrying now too, especially it’s a 2014 model year car. Hope it was just the last owner bullied the car a bit leading to those replacements.

You and your XJ must be one in a million in HK?
I rarely see one in my part of the US.

Yes XKs and XJs are quite rare in HK. You will probably see more Ferraris and Lambos than new Jags anyway. And my wife said Porshces are as abundant as Taxis here.
I’ve been very impressed with the first 7 months of my ‘14 XJ L Supercharged.
i fully expected to get a tune for it but I’ve decided that keeping the CPO warranty intact is more important. Anyhow, no worries as the 470hp has been plenty. I like fast cars but the Jag doesn’t lack for power one bit! Looks like you’ve found a very nicely equipped car... enjoy!

Hi Gpfarrell, we basically have got the same car!
Having driven the XJL for a few days I have to say this is definitely faster than my then 4.2L XKR. I am probably satisfied with 470bhp for now. But knowing that it can go up to 600bhp easily it is always very tempting to get that tune straight away.
I have a question.
How to tell if my Meridian sound system is 825w or 1300w?
In TOPIx my spec has an item named “PREMIUM ICE 1200W”, does it refer to the sound system?
