Hi! I'm new to the forum. I have a Supersport XJ 5.0 -2012. I have weak sound in my rear speakers and have understood this is likely because of a faulty Amplifier.
Now to my question:
I have in my car C2Z23282 BJ3219C164BF Aud3-16 Prem 16 1200 W Bower Wilkins
Does anyone know if this is replaceable with earlier C2D18304 AW9319C164BR also Prem 16?
I have from reading on different forums understood that the other way around to replace older with newer version probably works and without any re-programming. But to replace with previous generation might be different and not compatible. Anyone having experience of this?
In the spare parts system for Jaguar both are discontinued and refer to replacement T2R24114 (GK5219C164BA) This unit costs somewhere around 2100 euros...

C2D18304 was fitted in vin numbers V13985 to V25642
And mine original C2Z23282 from V25643 to V25643

I wouldn't recommend going earlier. Going current or newer is a better option within the used market. Being that you have a 2012 as well. Especially if you have SDD you can always update the amp after.
