Hi, thought i. Would post this, when explaining to people how amazing your XJ is what is the first thing you say? What I mean is the XJ is so much better than say an E Class or a 5 series because....

I have double glazing!
I have air cooled massaging seats!
It has a dual view front screen and a remote control for the RSE
It has 12.1 surround sound or something crazy!

What is it you say?

 

Its a jag, what more do you really need to say? that normally ends most arguments that I get into when it comes to cars like this.

 

See, here in the U.K. Saying it's a jag is not a cool thing to say, you say it out of the corner of your mouth in a funny accent. People give you a flat cap and a cigar. Jags do have a stigma here.

You have to drive it to appreciate the low-end torque and handling in Dynamic Mode. It's super comfortable and as much fun to drive as my XKR. How many other 4-door sedans under $100K new can you say that about?

 

The XJ is more comparable to an S class merc or 7 series BMW, the XF is aimed at E class and 5 series

I have been blessed to have many vehicles SL600, S600, M6, 3 and 5 Series and a Bentley Continental GT Mulliner - I did have an S type in 03 as well.
While I have not taken delivery of my XJL Exec yet (This coming Tuesday) everything I am seeing, reading and hearing this is closer to my Bentley than anything else with the quality. I am very excited to see how this will compare overall and see whatmy own response may be!

 

Sure, there are better cars from Jaguar, but the better ones are not Jaguars
