Could someone recomend a scantool that can read codes but also do a good amount of other key serviceing work such as reprogramming keys and other service work

There is a huge difference in cost between a code reader and a Jaguar compatible scantool capable of programming. Decide what you really need but it is likely to be more than one solution. I always carry TorquePro but also use iCarsoft and Jaguar SDD.
