Secondary air smog pump rebuild, anyone done it?

I tap on the black shaft where the screw and nut are located, but the cylinder won't come out.

This is a problem I haven't resolved yet, my 10 ton press ripped the circlip through the lip of the housing.when I tried to press the black shaft out of the bottom of the housing as I you can see in my post you're referencing.
I'm not where my smog pump collection right now but will be later in the week, will take another look and get back to you.
