Default Trac Fail light

The last issue I need to take care of this weekend is the TRAC FAIL like on my dash board. I have no idea what it means and my traction control is on but says its off. I want to turn the light off, does anyone have any insight on this issue?

Traction control is related to the Anti-lock system and relies on the wheel speed sensors for its input. Have you got the Anti-lock warning as well? First task would be to check the wheel sensors and connectors. If you had a wheel off or work done at any corner, start there. Sometimes a sensor fails, and that would set the light. Other times they are just in need of a cleaning (including the disc that spins near the sensor). Also, see Mr. Sogood's recent posts about the wheel sensors, he did a job on them!
