So a motor mount completely collapsed on me the other day going over a pot hole too fast. (picture below)
I was wondering if anyone knew whats the most convenient way to replace this mount. & only by doing so with just jack(s) & jack stands. also probably going to replace the second mount too that for some reason has what looks like to be a strap on it?..
(oh and also gonna have to replace the serpetine belt because after the mount collapse now the A/C compressor pulley is against the subframe)
Btw I have a 2004 Jaguar XJ8 4.2L NA.
thank you.
(1st picture is snapped mount)
(2nd picture is questionable mount and why the strap?)
(3rd picture is engine visibly tilted)

The strap is part of the motor mount. The workshop manual details replacing them. Some people lift the engine from under the car as in this video around 6:48 mark.
I did the jack and wood block on my alternator swap as well. It works ok but you will be surprised at how high you have to go to get the mount back in, or was it to get the clearance to get the alternator out?
