08 vanden plas
Hi I have a 2008 xj vanden plas. When I go into reverse the right mirror tilts downwards but the left does not. Is the left one also meant to tilt downwards or can it be programmed to do so?
How to obtain/install/run SDD: https://www.jaguarforum.com/posts/1101712/
You'll need a battery maintainer that can guarantee the voltage won't drop below (I think) 12.5V during the programming via SDD. I used an old server PSU from HP, which costed like $50.
As for the Mongoose cable, I used a clone and it worked flawlessly.
And in the SDD software you navigate to "Service Functions", then run the routine "Complete Vehicle - Dealer Options", which should take you to a list of things/behaviors of your car that can be changed.
I myself have done following:

I myself have done following:
- Enable global close,
- Dip driver's mirror on reverse,
- Disable panic button on the remote

I used to own 2001 3 series BMW (E46). it had 'tilting' passenger side mirror when car shfted in reverse. That was just for passanger side 'by design.' Rationale behind it, To the best of my knowledge, rationale behind it was to be able to see exterior zone near passenger side area that is obstructed by body of the car, like curb stones etc.
