Default Vanden Plas

Hello. Could somebody please tell me the differences between a 1995 Vanden Plas and a regular XJ6? Thank you!

Marty: this question should be addressed to the forum list that covers the model year you are interested in: it is the X300 list. But the major differences between the standard XJ6 model on the X300 and the VDP version are in the VDP interior trim: higher quality leather (Autolux), and more wood, with inlays of Peruvian boxwood (and yes, it is always real wood veneer) - tables on the back of the front seat, for example, and a wood/leather steering wheel, lambswool carpet mats. There are other minor interior changes. OPlus: different wheels, longer wheel base (5 inches difference), chrome trim on the sides. And that is about it. The mechanical bits are the same. Lovely cars.
