Hi I am trying to pair a new fob to my X350. I've gone through the headlight flashing procedure but no bleeps.
It is a JDM so no bleeps on unlock, are the 2 connected. Also do I need 315 mhz transponder. TIA.

 

Its all in the timing.I just programmed a new remote and the timing between turning the ignition switch and flashing the headlight lever has to be exact to get the chirp.it took me 4 tries before it worked.

Yes, Japan is 315 MHz for the fob (my car is ex-Japan too). I have successfully used a fob purchased from AliExpress. At the time I had only one key, so the replacement key was physically cut to match, and my local independent used SDD to pair both keys to the car. The fob pairing procedure is correct, but it usually needs a few tries to get it to work, as the timing is faster than you would expect. It will never work if the wrong frequency fob is used. The document on keys in the sticky section is excellent.
