Anyone know how to fix the luggage compartment on my 2004 VDP auto locking device. I just fried to open mine and it would not work....I had to use the key and after it would not fully close to lock the trunk.....any ideas

 

Check the pull down motor. Circuit or motor bad.

 

Check for broken wires where the wires are enclosed in a corrugated rubber tube between the body and boot lid-it's happened before.

NB A wire could be broken inside the insulation.

 

Took it apart yesterday. Did not see any broken wires. Motor must be bad.....going to dealer this morning to see what they say. Thanks to all for your input
