When I turn my engine off and go to get out my car the door doesn't unlock itself when it used to now I have to use the key button then it unlocks can anyone help with this

 

This has happened very occasionally on my Jag and I leant over to pull the passenger

door handle when the door unlocked.

The other option is to press the unlock button on the central console.

I can only imagine that there is a fault with the actuator but only when you use the door handle.

Do you have to use the key fob every time you want to open the driver's door?

Door actuators often fail to work but your type of failure is unusual.
