Default 2005 Jaguar XJ8L Seat Belt Clip

Hi. Can anyone tell me where I can pick up another retaining clip for the driver's front seat belt on this 2005 Jaguar XJ8l (so that the seat belt latch doesn't slide all the way down to the floor)? Thanks.

A part number would be greatly appreciated.

This is a photo of the front passenger side seat belt clip retainer (as shown by the red arrow). This would be what I'm looking for.

I have not seen those clips but the tiny button showing are easily available on ebay, I have replaced broken ones in a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Mercedes and BMW before. If you do not have a button already then you can just push a small spike or bradall through the belt in the correct position, make sure you get it correct, then the button pushes through and the part on the reverse side presses on to hold it in place

Yes I found the same thing. You can get the button but not the plastic bar. Maybe a used part off EBay?
The way it's built it might be easiest to just replace the entire seat belt assembly?
They really don't wear out and there are dozens of used ones for sale.

When that happened to my X300, we just replaced both front belts, Not terribly expensive, but very labor intensive. The seats have to come out, the B pillars have to be stripped down, and it is challenging to keep everything oriented just right.

My 2007 doesn't have the clip, just the buttons, on all 4 belts by the doors.

Here is a replacement bar, this is a left, but if you need a right they have a number for that. A little pricey, the whole assemblies for the X300 were well under $100.

Okay, I'll look into it. Thanks for the tips and suggestions gentlemen. In the meantime, I think that I'll try searching again for that plastic bar, and provide an update in a few days or so.
