My left headlght is out sometlmes. On startup it will usually blink ( on auto ln garage) Seems to settle down after on for while. I've dismissed it as auto leveling, actually I don't even know if it has auto leveling. Anyway when pulling into a resturant the other night I was told the light was out. When returning home it was working. The blinking has been ongoing for some time. Grounds have been replaced. Any help appreciated.

 

Scan for codes first.
There have been some faults reported about faults in the stalks.

Apparently the wires are really crammed in there and it is easy to replace

since it is a replaceable cassette but scan first.

 

I just tried scanning with my Icarsoft but cant get any communication with lighting module. Now what. lights worked fine today.

 

Sounds like it could be the Ballast, It is attached on the bottom of the headlight unit.

 

Swap the bulbs around and see if the fault moves with the bulb or stays with the headlight. Its a bit of a squash taking the bulbs out but it can be done. The ballast on the otherhand is headlight out.

 

Do you have HID lights? If so the ballast need to be replaced
