Default 2006 Vanden Plas satellite radio

The satellite radio, which as I understand was an aftermarket install by Jag dealers, has stopped working. It comes on but never moves to the next screen showing the channels. It is either not receiving any signal or has just gone bad. I contacted Sirius XM and they sent me a replacement radio which is not identical to the one installed in the car. I am unable to find an installer who will install the new one in the same space. I have borrowed from the another post a picture of the original radio. Can some one tell me if I can still find the original radio for a straight swap ? Any instructions on installing the replacement one will be great. I searched the forum for installation manual for accessories but did not find one. Thanks.

Hello. I also have a 2006 VDP with this same satellite radio installed. I had exactly the same problem some time ago. I took it to a local automotive audio shop that had done work for me before on another vehicle. They immediately identified the problem as the antenna for the satellite radio. They replaced the antenna and it has worked perfectly since then. Total cost was about $70 for parts and labor. The local Jaguar dealer had no clue as to what was going on!

Default Thanks

Sounds promising. Will get the antenna looked at. Thanks.
