Question 2006 XJ8L Foglight Replacement

I have a broken left front foglight on my 2006 XJ8L. I have purchased a replacement. The unit appears to secured by a tab and two screws. The owner's manual is of no help in instructing how to access the unit. What is the best way to access the mounting screws? Does the front air dam fascia come off, or do I have to remove fender lining and access the unit from the rear?

I believe you have to remove the lamp from the front. On my 04 XJ I removed the lower grill piece with a flat head screw driver and there were two screws holding the lamp in place. i dont know the technical word but the screws were star shaped.

Thanks--I take it the lower grill piece is held in by tabs and will pop out?

Yeah... the tab is on the top so just remove part 4 or 5 depending on what side your working on and there you should see the 2 screw
