Default 2007 XJR Squeaking and Clunking when Starting Cold

Hi all, there is an increasingly obnoxious squeal coming from under hood of my jag when I cold start it on a cold day. A squeal/ squeak only to be interrupted by an occasional "clunk". I lifted the hood and recorded it and posted in on Youtube - the link is below.
Any help on where to start with diagnosing this would be helpful - is it a belt or a pulley? A bearing perhaps? Something more exotic? It is not so severe during the warmer months as far as the clunk goes, but the squeaking is getting worse and worse.

If you like the video be sure ot smash that "subscribe" button. Just joking. Please help.

Thank you for your reply. I always try to DIY it, but we will see as I have never replaced the belt. Is the insinuation that if the belt is removed and it's still making noise, then it's not the belt or the pulleys and it's something more sinister?

Yes we want to do the simple and cheap stuff first. So if the noise goes away or changes we have a strong indication that the belts, tensioner or idler pullies are involved. If no change at all we can forget the belts and all that.

Now you did not give the mileage on the car BUT you mention the belt has not been changed. I would just go ahead and replace both belts. You have a 2007 model car so it has some years on it.

Yes the noise could come from anything that rotates. Like an alternator or water pump or even a PS pump. Hopefully it's not something deeper in the engine but let's see what we get first.

Now I had a 2005 STR and Jaguar released a fix for the cold weather squeaking that I had done under warranty and it fixed the noise 100%. See attached TSB. You have a 2007 so I would think it had the upgrade from the factory? Nope I see the TSB also includes your 2007 so obviously not!

Does your car have a single or double sided ribbed belt?

belt's walking across the idler. i think they get worse because the balancer starts to get some wobble in it over age. double flanged idler pulley fixes it. supercharger changed to double sided in 06 so that doesn't need any retrofitting
