Default 2008 XJ s/w update in engineering menu without disc and black screen/50 51 error

I was messing around in the navigation engineering menu where you hold telephone and menu buttons down and enter "1971" to access. I selected s/w update, confirmed and now my nav screen is black and the climate control LCD displays "50/51". I know there is nothing wrong with the audio unit itself because I put it in this mode via the s/w update button. Does anyone know a way to revert it back to normal operation without having to buy a nav DVD update or otherwise without having to spend any money? I found other threads on the subject but no definitive answer for when this results from the s/w update process.

Look for threads on 50/51 or loading.kwi

You need a sat nav disc with the firmware to load into the module or else change the module.
