94 xj6 no start
I am back after 2 years of letting my jag sit because i can not find the reason for the fuel injectors not getting a pulse. From previous suggestions, i had traced things back to the blue connector under the passenger side of the dash (which i replaced). That is where my search ended. I am getting fuel pressure to the rail and spark to the plugs. Just not getting the injectors to fire. Since i just repaired a blown head gasket (head resurfaced), i was wondering if the camshaft sensor could cause the problem? Can the crankshaft position sensor allow spark to the plugs and at the same time turn off the pulse to the injectors? After sitting 2 years, i am getting ready to sell it if i can't find the path to fixing it. Thanks in advance for anything you can do for me...at 76 it is getting harder for me to squirm around inside and under cars anymore.
Hi Wemertz, I am sorry to hear about your troubles with the car. I don't know anything about your car, whether it is an xj40 or x300. You accidentally posted your question on the x350 & x385 forum. That being said, I definitely think that the cam or crank position sensor could be your problem as the ecu needs to 'know' where all the valves and pistons are in order to know where and when to inject fuel. Very best of luck to you, but I think you can figure it out, especially with the help of the right people
