Default Adding OEM NAV

I was wondering if the 2004 XJR was pre-wired for NAV. I would like to add an OEM unit.

Only car that has nav prewired isthe xf.
If you want factory fit it can be done but will be very expensive. I would estimate $8000.00 or more. $3500 for screen, $2000 for module. $1000 for harnesses and 20 hours or more labour.

From my speaking with other local XJ8 owners and a few independant shops the factory navigation system is a POS so I think your better off without it. I have a Garmin portable system that works great and I can take it with me when I'm on foot. Work's really well in larger cities like San Francisco and New York where you may end up using a few different modes of transpprtation, walking, trollies, bus, subway, etc. And it's WAY LESS thak 8K.........

It is ok. New XK has better system and he XF is better still. Hand helds are always more convenient though.
