Air Compressor Relay Vs Battery Disconnect
I am
- replacing the rear air suspension with new Arnott's
- replacing the compressor
Arnott paperworks says to remove the air compressor relay, no mention of battery
Arnott video on YouTube speaks of disconnecting the battery, no mention of air compressor relay
Is one method better, easier or safer to the car or computer/settings etc ?

Yup, i read all six pages of this post and searched and read other posts too before posting. Nothing discussed the different approach in the arnott paperwork versus the video.
Mechanic installed the compressor and the back two with new arnotts. Seemed fine at first but now with increasing frequency as i drive, there is a thump/thud single or multiple in a row coming from the back right while driving on flat clean road, bumps, while turning and braking, etc. Checked seating of the shock, the top mounts and the lower mount both are appropriate tight. Is this a bad shock ?

Disconnect the battery negative side and drain the capacitors by jumping it to the positive for a couple of minutes. Then reconnect everything how its supposed to be. When changing the compressor I usually change the relay as well... to be safe
After reconnecting the battery you might need to drive it to get everything in order again.
