AIR SUSPENSION QUESTION
Ihaveownedmy 2004 XJ8 FOR 2-3weeks now.
Justnoticedlast night whenI parked itI hear what appears to be air exhausting from under the hood.Is this the air suspebsion system bleeding after the car is shut down.I also noticed this morning when my wife started the car it seems to rise up. Is this normal? Im not getting any fault messages.
Also noticed a slight whine or hum when Im driving and turning the wheel. I can only hear it when the audio system is off.
does the jag extended warrenty with exclusonary coverage cover the iar shocks and system?
Thanks for your help

Depends what warranty. Normally they cover the air suspension compressor and the module, but not the shocks.
They do normally vent atshut off. The vent is on the compressor which is behind the front bumper cover on drivers side.
The vehicle rising isnormal. Will level out on start up. What you want to make sure of is the shocks arent leaking. Shouldn't drop too much overnight. 1/2 inch or so.
