Not sure what you are asking exactly, but the torque convertor is bolted to the flexplate on back of the engine.
The torque convertor slides onto the input shaft of trans. The is the only physical connection between engine and transmission.

PM me your email address. I have the exploded view and specs for the ZF. It is for S-Type, but same thing.
