Ok so I have a 2002 XJ8 3.2 sport, which is now surplus to requirements and has a fair bit of body rot, the engine and gearbox are perfect with less than 80,000 miles, NOW, I also have a 1980 Triumph TR7 which I "trying" to restore, it has the standard 2.0 engine and box, but I was looking to put the usual upgrade of a Rover V8 into it, then I thought, I already have a really nice powerful, modern and smooth V8 engine and gearbox sitting here.

BUT!!!!!!!

Just what would be involved, or needed to shoe-horn the Jaguar V8 and box into my TR7.

Thoughts?

 

Sounds like an interesting project. Back when I had my Spitfire, I used to hang out at The Triumph Experience : Your Online Car Club a lot. I'd see why they have to say over there.
