Default To all those with LSD fitted on...

I wanted to ask for your impressions on the LSD mod. I have trouble with spinning/slip even with the R888r's now even on the higher pulls. The tires are fairly new and still grippy but unless I put heat in them, they will spin on any WOT pull under 70mph.

I have read that this mod really "transforms" the car. How so? Just better grip on launches? Did anyone notice increased tire wear with this mod? Is it really worth it? Also, how difficult is it to do... is it just swapping the gears in the diff out or is there a lot more that needs to be done in order to get to that?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys

Of all my mods I rate it as the best one.

Take off is sooo much better and sometimes neck snapping.

Accelerating out of a side road into traffic is so much easier and way less problematic.

I am talking about those situations where if you are looking for a lot of room you will wait for hours!

Thanks, that's what I needed to hear. What all is involved in doing this mod? I do all the work myself, but if its a huge job, I might not want to bother with it and would have a shop do it.

It is not that big of a job with the correct tools.

There is one really beefy large circlip to get out and put back in which was tricky and then you have the backlash to set where the proper tools are required.

Of course new bearings which you have to find. I think I got the numbers from my original bearings and looked them up.

There is a thread in here somewhere which I used as a guide.

Not the same car however useful thread by flyc2c : https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...lation-155867/

Oh and I bought a used diff to work on incase I screwed things up so have a spare original diff. So minimal down time.
