Thumbs down Bilstein suspension replacement for Airpring

I have a X350 XJ8L and fed up with continuous airpring problems that has cost me dearly.
On researching replacing with Bilstein standard shocks it seems a good move and a lot cheaper.
Does anybody know a good garage that has done this in the UAE (pref Abu Dhabi but Dubai is OK) or could do it. It seems very straight forward but not sure how you fool the CATS system which I assume is expecting to communicate with the airsprings. I also believe the kit comes with connection to the HID.
Last question is where can I buy such a kit?
Many thanks to anyone who can help

Arnott is known as the leader here. Comes with modules to trick the eCats. There are others.
There is a supplier in Houston selling conversion also. I may go by to look over.
There is a thread here about using shocks from a S Type on a XJ. That really seems good. But it was not a simple bolt in replacement.
I will keep my fingers crossed. Think I will get the C2303 error even after swapping to regular shocks and springs.

As understand it Bilstein are OEM of the air units. A few years ago the started marketing the units themselves at a distinctly lower price than Jaguar. However (and I'm happy to be corrected on this) they only seem to market one grade of unit whereas the Jaguar units come in standard ('comfort') grade (green spot) and sport (red spot) grade. Even so I would have thought that the replacement Bilsteins would still have the hard/soft switchable dampers in them, which is what the CATS system control.

I contacted the Bilstein distributer in Dubai and awaiting a call back tomorrow to discuss how their units work and prices of course. I will still need a good suspension specialist as I want this done properly. Swapping the suspension units is the easy bit its connecting everything else up that is a bit of an unknown for me as Partick suggests it should work the same unless I use standard damping.
I am also interested in finding out more about Arnot so please keep me posted Panelhead.
