I am planning to trade my 2002 XJ Sport for a newer 2006/7 XJ. Does anyone know whether an iPhone (with latest software) will play music through the bluetooth to the radio if I gat an xj with nav and bluetooth?

 

No, it does not. The Jaguar bluetooth module implements only the handsfree profile, it does not support A2DP, which is what you need to play music.

 

OK, I kinda expected that might be the case. Never mind, I use a Motorola T505 to stream from the iPhone A2DP through to an FM channel for the radio in my present car. It's a little handsfree device that sits on the sun shade and works quite well. Guess I'll stick with that. Thanks for the confirmation though.
