Default Bluetooth problem - is there a hidden mute?

I have a 2006 VDP with Bluetooth installed. It usually works great with my Blackberry phone. However, on a couple occasions, it seems to go on mute. I can hear the other party through the car's spreakers, but they cannot hear me. If I turn off the phone's Bluetooth and pick up my handset, they can hear me. I turn Bluetooth back on, and they cannot hear me -- although I can hear them.

It seems the car has a hidden mute feature, and I am somehow accidently turning it on. I know the phone is not on mute, since I can pick it up and talk. Or, do I have a problem with the car's microphone?

Mine does the exact opposite...sometimes they can hear me but I can't hear them...I usually reconnect and that does the trick....
