Bumper chrome fade

Hey guys are you guys seeing any bumper chrome fade? I have a 2004 and the incert plastic chrome is fading......want to replace but they ask 175.00 for each side???????? remove and re paint???

any place cheaper for the incerts?

Well I have never seen those fading but theres no way you can paint them , and 175 is just too expensive , try junkyards.

Seeing where you are located, I would think the fading is actually the plastic coating over the chrome that had now started to be affected by your Florida sunshine and going opaque. Or damp or seawater/spray has got underneath this layer.I have the syndrome on many cars with similar chrome bits.

I haven't heard of this one B4. Mine are as new.
