Car & Driver Road Test
Got my new Car & Driver today and they have a road test on the new XJ Supercharged. Very impressed and complimentary ("quite likely Jaguar's best-ever sedan") except:
They hated the virtual instruments (disagree)
They thought the view out the rear was poor (agree)
They didn't like the 5th seat accomodations (who cares)
Showed 0-60 time of 4.4 sec (0.5 sec faster than Jaguar's specs) and a respectable 12.8 sec @ 113 mph in the quarter. I thought it felt a little faster than advertised.

I personally like the round air vents--kind of look like turbines. Even though there is a strip of wood between the windshield and dash, I agree it is not the same as the full wood dashes of old.
What I mainly try to stress on how those round vents affect the overall look and design of the front console . I circled up around the dash area where these two round vents are on .
Center dash is not a plane / flat because of bulky vents .They just some sort of protrude above the dash ,extreme right side / passenger side also round but it doesn't affect the shape of the console .
Rolls Royce always have been using round all aound but center dash is plain flat ,it's of course just a matter of tastes
