I have my XJ about a week. It drives and looks fantastic.
One huge problem. Although I really could have cared less if it had the heated windscreen the vehicle I got because of the color combo that I wanted had the heated wind screen.
It is driving me crazy. At night it has halo's around street lights and oncoming headlights and brake lights. During the day you can see the little wires and it never looks like you are seeing through a clear windshield. This really sucks.
Anyone else have this option and find the same thing?

 

Hi, I had a similar issue the first time I had a car with a heated screen, I think the reason I kept noticing the wires is because it was so new and my eyes just kept focussing on the wires, after a while you learn to adjust your focus and the wires just do not get noticed.
I would never have another car without a heated screen by choice now , have had them for about 10 years now.
Believe me, it will get better, you just have to ignore them and concentrate on focussing ahead, try it, best of luck.

 

I've got a heated windscreen on my Vanden Plas - it works great in -40! I got used to the halo etc especially when I saw how good it works in winter!
