Chasing down misfire codes and P2097 and P0193 codes
I just got this 2006 XJ8L VDP and it had misfire codes on bank 1 and upstream oxygen sensor codes. I changed that oxygen sensor and now I have P0193 codes and p2097 codes. Started rooting around and noticed some JB weld like substance on the fuel rails. Would this cause the occasional one or 2 misfires and those codes plus a stumble from acceleration from idle?
Well here’s and update and hoping someone can chime in. I’ve since replaced the fuel rail with a junk yard unit (that didn’t have the regulators removed and JB welded for whatever reason) I’ve changed the injector o rings when I did the rails. The previous owner did the intake gaskets. I smoked tested the intake and it’s air tight. I changed out the spark plugs. I cleaned the MAF. I changed the pcv o rings even though they probably weren’t leaking I was just hearing the noise that’s normal in the corrugated tube. Literally nothing I’ve done has made a difference. It will run a little better when it warms up and won’t stumble as much off of idle but it’ll still throw codes and I’m getting p0171 and p0174 lean codes as well as the p0193 code. What else could be wrong with this thing?
