I'm interested in getting the following items in the future:

Chrome side view mirror covers

Chrome window inserts(between the passenger and driver windows)

Chrome bottom front grille

Chrome license plate frames

I've found some good deals on both Amazon and EBay. I wanted to know if anyone had made a similar purchase recently and if you were happy with the quality of the product(s).

For the mirror, make certain you get the Jaguar covers that require removal of the existing, for proper fitment.

The chrome stick-on panels for the B pillars look tacky, IMHO

Did you check with the dealer for a genuine Jaguar chrome grille insert to replace the existing?

 

The dealer had the plastic chromed pieces that fit over the existing side view mirror with 3M tape. Is this not good?

The bottom grill is available at the dealer but I'm shopping around for a better deal. On my model, the top is chrome but the bottom is black. The VDP model comes with both top and bottom chrome.

I will check with Nally Jaguar to see what they would charge. I have seen it at other Jaguar dealerships online for about $120.

 

The aftermarket stick on ones never fit 100% correctly. The factory mirror covers are interchangeable but to do properly, require disassembly of the housing.

That seems like a good deal for the grille insert @ $120 as long as it is the correct one.

 

That's only for the bottom piece, which is plastic covered with a chrome finish.

 

I wonder why there is not a section for 2008 XJR. Am I just missing it or does it not exists?

 

No you are not missing anything....it does not exist. I had the same question when I joined and was directed here. I agree, there is no place for us 2008 XJ owners.

 

Would it not be because this forum is organized by models and not trim lines & years? This version of the XJ was from 2004-2010 in the states.
