About 2/3 years ago I bought a Chinese clone Mongoose and after a lot of aggro I realised the software was NBG so I bought replacement software from E bay.

Fortunately I never had to use the mongoose in anger but then the interface

itself failed.

I recently bought another Mongoose from British Diagnostics but then it also

failed and I have sent it back for a refund.

I am guessing it's not possible to damage the interface just by manipulating the software.

Mongeese (Lol) are now half the price I paid originally from UOBD2.

What to do.............sigh

 

The simple answer is that ALL cheap clone Mongoose are a coin toss and it's a matter of when they fail, not if...

 

You should rename the title to "Chinese mongoose clones woes". Rumor has it the Chinese shadow Mongoose production is not held to very high standard and often fail. I'm on my third one.

There is a seller on eBay who has "Genuine" Mongoose cables for $250, allegedly coming from a dealership in AZ.

 

Here it is and there are apparently only 8 left.
