Default Considering 2005 Super V8...thoughts????

I'm considering an 05 Super or I'd buy an 04-05 XJR with the rear entertainment package.

Is there any feedback that anybody would like to provide?

I had a '98 XJR and I loved it. I'm buying the new Jag and I haven't test driven one yet.

Are there any major problems that I should watch out for?

Thanks!

air suspension comes to mind, and coolant reservoirs, rear tires wear quickly, but you already know this since youve had an R.

Really love the look of the Super over the XJR

Unless you got some big boys riding in the back, the XJR is the ticket.

I've professed my love for my X350 XJR since I purchased it, the only thing I'd recommend is a warranty.

My son is 16 yo and 6'8" tall. To me, that qualifies as a big boy. He did not fit in teh back of my XJ8 very well. Here's hispictuer after a 3 hour trip. Now, in the Super V8, he looks like this. The entertainment system really helps.

Everything is standard, except for a couple of dealer installed options, on the Super V8. Same engine and brakes as the R. Rides softer than the R, but still handles well. In fact, the Super V8 is really an XJ VP-R. I like mine a lot, at least in part because I don't even have to think about trying to fit my car into the compact parking spaces. Uh, maybe that is one of the down sides. And some people like the look of the long wheel base XJs. More Jaguar-like proportions, supossedly. It's really a personal preference as to whether you like one or the other. As for me, I just bought it so my son could fit in the car.

Perfect reason for the Super V8.

My daughter, who is 3 month and 25" tall says "Hi!" (actually, make that "Goo")
