Default Coolant level sensor plug

Does anyone have a source for the coolant level sensor plug

Been tracking down my low coolant level and it has come down to the plug
The plug has crumbled so I need to replace it

Wiring and earth are ok as is the sensor. The plug has literally fallen apart

Cheers

https://uk.rs-online.com/mobile/c/co...ve-connectors/ This might help identify the part you need or maybe a breakers yard

Ive been though there and some other supplier but thanks anyway

Bit the bullet and made a new plug/ pigtail
Used some pins from another plug and heat shrinked over the pins
Manually inserted the pins and filled with mould making silicone

I then added a new plug/socket to the harness
Finally tested the new connection and now It had now power from the IC
Traced that back to the cooling pump harness

This plug is under the washer tank and has the level sensor, intercooler and aux pumps on it. The pins for the aux coolant pump were full of green corrosion and the rest show mild signs of corrosion.

Next step is to replace the connections as I have spare pins to suit.

PS I had not noticed the aux coolant pump was not working as I have the fuse permanently removed. It serves no function in the tropics.

So the saga goes on !!!!

Cheers

If we knew what specific model and year of your car you'd get better help. Add that to your signature line.

Are you talking about the coolant level sensor in the radiator expansion tank or the water level sensor in the windshield washer tank? I'm assuming since you at least mention 'intercooler' that you have some version of a supercharged Jag so perhaps this link might get you closer.

Help! I need to remove the coolant level electrical connector for the expansion tank removaL. It has what appears to be a silver wire spring retainer on the connector. Do I spread the retainer and slide it down and out in order to remove the connector? Being a 2001 XJ8, 4.0, there is so much brittle plastic, I worried about damaging the connector. Thanks to all.
