I'm assuming you're asking about the x308's in their forum? I'm sure you're getting good advice. I actually think the x308s are a little more classic Jaguar look than our X350s. My buddy has one of the 100 year editions (forget the official name) and it is nice and fast too.

Glad to see you've come to your senses. ;-)

Fortunately, I've come back to the light. I've found a Jag in absolutely immaculate condition, low mileage, and a completely unimpeachable service record (annual service + key repairs done recently). The catch is that's a 2003 x308. I am going to put in a deposit/hold on it Monday morning.

I know it can be frustrating trying to find the right car, especially long distance, but I would like to recommend you reconsider.

The difference in drive quality between the steel bodied and aluminum bodied cars is so great that I believe you will be much happier if you hold out for an X350.

Cheers

I second that. I've had both a 308 and 350. The 350 is miles ahead of the 308, other than the low slung look of the 308. But after owning the 308 it felt like Jag was in a rush to release it not completly finished. My prior xj-40 seemed well thought out and well designed compared to the 308. The 308 also really felt like a Ford product compared to the 350 which feels like a true Jaguar. The 308 was just missing something that I couldn't put my finger on.
Just my 2 cents.

Stick with an 04 up...Go onto Searchtempest and search all of Craigslist at once starting with closest first...There are a lot of XJ8s there waiting for you close by... SearchTempest: Search all of Craigslist nationwide & more

I assure you, I checked out the extant stocks. I grew tired of major gaps in the service records that would require an in-person verification, too many miles, overpriced, accident record fire-sale prices, and other "walk aways".
