Default Could LED Front Parking Lights globe replacement be causing new Battery Power Leakage

Hi All

I've been having battery power leakages for a while now and bought a new one. The new battery was also flat after 2 days. The car parks outside under a carport, ie., roof only with no sidewalls, with outside temperature averaging 3 degrees celcius overnight.

I later replaced my park light globes with LEDs, and soon thereafter, something spooky happens occassionally when I unlock my vehicle! The front parking lights LEDs would come on by themselves and they'd remain on even when the light switch is turned to off! Strange enough, all other exterior lights including the rear would be off, and only the front parking LEDs would be on! The only time the LEDs switch off, is when I either switch the lights on and off again, or start the car when the switch is on off. It would appear also that these lights are linked to the overhead interior lights next to the mirror.

As a result, my new battery is often very flat, and I no longer leave the light switch on Auto.

What could be the real culprit here?

I found the problem. The battery of my vehicle tracking device was dead and it relied on power from my Jag, hence the extra-ordinary drain on my battery.

Problem solved.
