Decided to take this on myself. Amp is passing signal, speakers work just fine, turned out to be bad wire glue.

However new problems have developed.

The ACM is now completely non-functional, wont even charge my phone and radio/CD audio cuts out completely with no volume OSD either until I switch inputs, then it starts working again.

WDS is showing no DTCs according to deals but they suggest replacing the head unit.

Thoughts? Thanks a bunch.

I have a similar crackling coming from the rear speakers of my 2003 S Type. I also have a parasitic battery drain. Does anybody know if perhaps a short in this speaker or amp is causing the drain on my battery? If I don't drive the car for a day or two, then the battery is stone dead. My battery and altenator have been checked and deemed good.
Thanks for your help!
